\u201cOne Health<\/a>\u201d defiende que la salud humana y la sanidad animal son interdependientes y est\u00e1n vinculadas a los ecosistemas en los cuales coexisten (OIE). A continuaci\u00f3n, veremos porqu\u00e9 este concepto, es esencial para afrontar el problema de las resistencias antimicrobianas.<\/strong><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 es importante el concepto One Health?<\/h2>\n

El uso inapropiado de antibi\u00f3ticos<\/strong> provoca la aparici\u00f3n de bacterias resistentes<\/a>, que se multiplican y pueden llegar a propagarse<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Se ha observado una relaci\u00f3n<\/a> entre la aparici\u00f3n de resistencias antimicrobianas en humanos y el uso de antibi\u00f3ticos en animales, por lo que podemos deducir que existe una transmisi\u00f3n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Es necesario luchar contra el problema de las resistencias desde un punto de vista \u201cOne health\u201d.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Numerosos estudios<\/a> muestran que las bacterias resistentes se pueden diseminar<\/strong> por los nichos ecol\u00f3gicos a trav\u00e9s de diversas interacciones<\/strong> entre humanos, animales y medio ambiente<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Todo est\u00e1 conectado<\/h2>\n

Las resistencias se pueden transmitir por varias v\u00edas:<\/p>\n

Entre animales:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Debido al uso inadecuado<\/strong> de antibi\u00f3ticos en animales<\/a>, principalmente como profilaxis o factores de crecimiento, aparecen cepas resistentes<\/strong>. Es muy f\u00e1cil que \u00e9stas se diseminen<\/a>\u00a0 entre el reba\u00f1o y\/o explotaci\u00f3n y posteriormente a otras especies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Animales y humanos:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Por contacto directo, o a trav\u00e9s de productos<\/a>\u00a0de origen animal como carne, huevos, leche\u2026 Un claro ejemplo es en el matadero<\/a>, donde es f\u00e1cil que se transmitan bacterias resistentes presentes en el animal, al producto final.<\/p>\n

Las bacterias resistentes se transmiten f\u00e1cilmente por la cadena alimentaria.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

De animales al medio ambiente:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Los cultivos<\/strong> se pueden contaminar al utilizar esti\u00e9rcol como fertilizante<\/strong>, y tambi\u00e9n a trav\u00e9s de las aguas<\/strong> con purines de las explotaciones.<\/p>\n

Medio ambiente y humanos:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Las bacterias resistentes se pueden transmitir a las personas al ingerir verduras y frutas que provengan de cultivos contaminados. Adem\u00e1s, se pueden transmitir genes de resistencia a la flora intestinal normal.<\/p>\n

En los r\u00edos y reservas de agua tambi\u00e9n pueden encontrarse bacterias resistentes, que permanecen incluso despu\u00e9s de los tratamientos en las plantas depuradoras.<\/p>\n

Entre humanos:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Las bacterias resistentes se propagan f\u00e1cilmente en la sociedad. Se pueden transmitir por contacto directo o indirecto, como la contaminaci\u00f3n de superficies. Los hospitales <\/a>son \u201cpuntos calientes\u201d para su diseminaci\u00f3n. Estas bacterias, pueden transmitirse entre enfermos, personal sanitario y visitas.<\/p>\n

Es clave que los profesionales de la salud hagan prescripciones de antibi\u00f3ticos adecuadas.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

El turismo y el comercio internacional<\/strong> tambi\u00e9n son una v\u00eda importante de propagaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Conclusiones<\/h2>\n

\u25cf La salud humana, animal y medioambiental est\u00e1n estrechamente relacionadas<\/strong>.
\n\u25cf Es necesaria una colaboraci\u00f3n<\/strong> entre diversas disciplinas (veterinarios, m\u00e9dicos, investigadores, bi\u00f3logos\u2026etc) para combatir las resistencias antimicrobianas.
\n\u25cf Se deben establecer estrategias para disminuir el uso de antibi\u00f3ticos, entre ellas, la vacunaci\u00f3n.<\/a><\/p>\n
