La Pododermatitis Infeciosa Ovina, causa grandes p\u00e9rdidas econ\u00f3micas en los reba\u00f1os afectados, pero con medidas de prevenci\u00f3n podemos disminuir su incidencia y las p\u00e9rdidas. En este art\u00edculo desarrollaremos los pasos a dar para controlar brotes y prevenir su contagio. <\/strong><\/div>\n

Fases de la enfermedad<\/h2>\n

La Pododermatitis Infecciosa Ovina <\/a> es una enfermedad altamente contagiosa<\/strong>, que en condiciones ambientales favorables puede afectar una buena parte del reba\u00f1o<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

La pododermatitis Infecciosa o Piet\u00edn es una de enfermedad que causa grandes p\u00e9rdidas econ\u00f3micas.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

El pat\u00f3geno causante, Dichelobacter nodosus<\/strong><\/em>, libera toxinas, proteasas<\/strong> y hemolisinas<\/strong>. \u00a0Primero afecta las estructuras blandas del casco, y es cuando se libera un olor a podrido<\/strong> muy caracter\u00edstico. En casos m\u00e1s avanzados, se genera laminitis<\/strong> y desprendimiento del casco.<\/p>\n

La enfermedad puede evolucionar de dos maneras:<\/p>\n

\u25cf Evoluci\u00f3n autolimitante: <\/strong>Los animales pueden quedar infectados de forma cr\u00f3nica, siendo un reservorio.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Evoluci\u00f3n aguda: <\/strong>la enfermedad avanza r\u00e1pido y el animal tiene dolor. <\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tratamiento correcto de los casos cl\u00ednicos<\/h2>\n

Se deben separar<\/strong> todos los animales que presenten cojera y tratarlos correctamente:<\/p>\n

\u25cf Limpiar el casco y el espacio interdigital<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Cortar pared del casco<\/strong> desde el tal\u00f3n a la punta<\/p>\n

\u25cf Retirar tejido necr\u00f3tico.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Aplicar espray desinfectante y\/o antibi\u00f3tico<\/strong> si es necesario.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Mantener el animal en suelo seco y limpio.<\/p>\n

Medidas de control y prevenci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n

\u25cf Apartar animales infectados<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Pasar los animales por pediluvio<\/strong> con sulfato de Zinc + tensioactivo (durante 15 minutos).<\/p>\n

\u25cf Recorte de pezu\u00f1as<\/strong> y tratamiento de la infecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Sacrificio de animales cr\u00f3nicos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Vac\u00edo sanitario de 14 d\u00edas.<\/p>\n

\u25cf No comprar animales de granjas con casos de piet\u00edn.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Vacunaci\u00f3n<\/strong> de todo el reba\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Vacunar a todo el reba\u00f1o es una de las formas m\u00e1s efectivas de controlar el Piet\u00edn.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
